THE SUTTER MEDICAL CENTER SANTA ROSA FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM
is seeking to fill a junior leadership position with an emphasis on obstetrics and teaching skills. This residency program is distinguished by a long history of service, academic leadership, and innovative approaches to health care, including nationally known programs in Balint Groups, professional development, and abortion training. We have consistently attracted creative residents with a commitment to the underserved both locally and around the world, and we support them in serving a broad array of health care organizations and patients in Sonoma County after graduation.

Santa Rosa is the largest city in Sonoma County, the heart of Northern California’s beautiful wine country, and only one hour away from San Francisco.

Qualified applicants should have several years of practice experience, active participation in obstetrical practice, and outstanding teaching credentials. Medical licensure in California and Board Certification by the ABFM are required. Duties will be approximately 40% clinical, 30% precepting, and 30% administrative.

We are willing to support a full range of special interests within the field of family medicine including integrative medicine, sports medicine, evidence-based medicine, women’s health care, and international medicine.
